Such a surprise,
as the day dawns,
with a stretch and a yawn,
it dawns on Me.
Sneaking up on me,
with a shy smile,
that I have found a way
to keep the daylight away,
and hold onto,
my night with you,
sealed in tightly
with a kiss.
