La Douleur Exquise

Title taken from a Sex and the City episode of the same name, which I can relate to.



Inspired by the line:

"the fire in her eyes grew dim and then died as the poison inside reached her heart" - HIM - Poison Girl.



I've been wanting to do a manip based around this idea for quite a long time but never had the inspiration to do so, but I stumbled across this background photo and it just kinda went from there. The bottle is Absinthe, with Black Beauty (it's actually a Mustang but shh! lol) looking on (I love that book, love horses, and I called my car Black Beauty haha), the bits/feathers falling from the sky were inspired by the video for Lithium by Evanescence, as something similar falling from the sky in that. I have the heart tattoo on her wrist Anyway, up to you what it all means, it was just fun to do. I'm happier with this than most of my others.
