Beneath my skin,
something's breathing,
something's leading
my heart astray.
Teething and bleeding,
I stay,
locked inside this
childish sin.
This insatiable desire,
hunger so deep,
a million tears could not
give hope.
It's over.
It kisses and it needs,
it touches your hand, and
you will melt on my tongue
and I'll move out of the way,
in the hope that this
will fade and slip away,
like the lights melt into the river.
However, I believe,
that you owe me a dance.
So take this moment,
and step into my arms.
You can leave anytime
you choose,
but you will carry this
with you forever,
just like I do.
I'll save myself.
In the meantime,
it will press
your skin like petals,
until your bones
cannot hold
the weight of the world
any
longer,
fragile and thin.
We can't go on,
in this childish sin,
this hunger, this...
love?
